The AFC has withdrawn from contesting in 10-15 Local Authority Ares at the upcoming Local Government Elections. This was revealed by the party on Wednesday during a press conference.
Campaing Manager David Patterson said that the reason is due to bullying and communication issues. He did not say what are the communication issues facing the party. He also did not reveal which area they withdrew from or state where they are contesting. Patterson is urging the AFC’s supporters to refrain from name calling of any opponents.
According to one of the Party’s executive, Micahel Leonard, “we had one of our candidates bodily removed because of some issue with the returning officer.”
Patterson also did not rule out the possibilities of going on a public debate. “We do feel that there should be a debate among candidates, particularly, in the larger constituencies, he said.
