As rampage continues in the city, thirty-five year old bus driver, Tedroy James, of Suddie, Essequibo Coast was shot and killed in his route 32 minibus at McDoom, East Bank Demerara.
Sources indicate that a man entered the bus and held James and his passengers at gun-point. He then ordered James to stop at McDoom – a notorious area – where an accomplice was waiting. The duo reportedly robbed the passengers and subsequently emptied the bus.
Moments later, James was shot to the head by one of the men, who then made good their escape. James was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
