Duo granted bail in car jacking ring

Ricky Chung and his father Nigel Chung, both welders of Coverden East Bank Demerara, were granted bail on Monday by Principle Magistrate, Judy Latchman, in the sum of $200,000 each for Fraudulent Imitation of Identification Mark.

According to police, the duo appeared in the Georgetown Magistrate Court 3 and pleaded not guilty to the charges when it was read to them.

It is alleged that the duo between 17th December 2017 and 10th February, 2018, they fraudulently used a false chassis plate on a Toyota Sapcio which is owned by Samuel Munroe, also it is alleged that between 9th December 2017 and 10th February, 2018, the duo allegedly used a false chassis plate on a Toyota Allion owned by Trechel Powers. The duo is to return to Court on 12th March, 2018 for reports.
