The Ministry of Education through the National Center for Educational Resource Development (NCERD) hosted a three days conference for 50 educators at the Duke Lodge.
The ultimate goal is to bridge gaps and change the leadership conversation through education with a view that everyone has the ability to be an example of inspiration everyday.
Founder and CEO of the Leadership in Education Services Ltd., Ms Dennise Hilliman a Guyana born London based scientist along with Minister of Education, Nicolette Henry as well as Chief education officer Mr. Marcel Hutson and University of Guyana Vice Chancellor Ievlaw Griffith are among those addressing The opening.
The workshop is to be facilitated by several key officials has a forward thrust for the Education Sector through the LEAD Curriculum event that is headed by Ms Hilliman, Director and founder of this innovative leadership training programme. The initial 50 benificiaries are the primary educators drawn from the public schools. The conference according to Ms Hilliman sets the tone for a paradigm shift to service leadership, collaboration with the private sector and teaching at all levels.
