The Ministry of Public Infrastructure has announced that the Eteringbang airstrip will be closed for approximately seven days sometime during next week around the 22nd April, 2018.
The Ministry noted that it is an effort to improve the quality of the airstrip, the Ministry of Public Infrastructure will be commencing the chemical stabilisation of the runway surface. This exercise will extend for approximately seven (7) days from the date of commencement. As a result, the runway will be closed during the period of ongoing works.
Relevant stakeholders, including residents and village leaders, have already been informed of the upcoming closure, the Ministry noted.
