Former Bishops’ school teacher for Judge and Jury

Coen Jackson, the former Bishops’ High School Teacher who is at the center of an alleged sexual scandal, will have to face a Judge and Jury at the High Court. The decision was handed down by Principle Magistrate, Judy Latchman on Tuesday.

Jackson, who is currently on remanded has allegedly used his position of trust to groom young girls for sexual activity when they would have reached the age of consent, that is 16 years.

The matter was brought to the fore by Cultural Policy Advisor at the Ministry of Socail Cohesion, Ruel Johnson.  An investigation was conducted and it was recommended that Jackson be sent on administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation.

Several persons came forward in the public and gave their account of what transpired between them and Jackson when they were in school.

Jackson later tried to defend his actions by hosting a press conference with a team of lawyers including Attorney-at-Law, Jerome Khan, but today he was represented by Attorney, Siand Dhurjon.
