Husband and wife charged for possession of narcotics

A couple from Golden Grove, East Bank Demerara, has been charged for possession of narcotics. According to police information, ranks on a mobile patrol in the Diamond Community went to the home of Sherwin Alexander, age 38, a grocer of 382 Golden Grove E.B.D and conducted a search in the presence of his 44-year-old wife, Patricia Renee. During the process they found a parcel containing 134 grams of cannabis concealed inside of a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipe.

They have been jointly charged with possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking and will make their court appearance tomorrow at the Providence Magistrate’s Court.
