Men involved in shootout with customs officers gets bail for other offences

Trevor Motilall, Steven Motilall and Rabindra Ramdeo were today released on bail when they appear in court charged for some offences in contridiction to the customs act. Steven and Trevor were placed on $400,000 bail each for obstructing the officers from doing their work as well as aiding and abetting.

Ramdeo on the other hand was charged for being in posession of uncustomed goods and was placed on $200,000 bail. The men were represented by a lawyer who made the successful bail application but his clients were required to lodge their passports. The police are still trying to locste another person who is also to be charged but he has been avoiding the police.

On June 7 the men ope ed fire on GRA officers when they showed up to execute a seizure of some uncustomed goods.
