Motorcyclist loses life by accident, speeding to be blamed

Police are investigating a fatal accident which occurred about 03:00hrs. Sunday morning on Kitty Public Road, Georgetown.

According to police investigations the  motorcycle, CD 4662, was ridden by a 22 year old man of Good Hope, East Coast Demerara. The police noted that the man was riding the bike without a safety helmet.

As he was proceeding west at a fast rate he lost control of the bike while negotiating the “Russian Embassy” turn and collided with the guard rail.

The motorcyclist was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
