Serious crimes down by 5%- Police

The Guyana Police Force has reported that serious crimes have gone down by 5% for the first seven months of the year when compared to the same period last year. However, armed robberies have increased by 7% and a 25% increase in robberies where no firearm was used. This is according to statistics provided by the Guyana Police Force on Friday.

Burglaries and rape also increased 3 and 7 percentages respectively. However, break and enter and larceny has decreased. Murder has also decreased.
