A truck ferrying paddy this afternoon slammed into a vehicle at Victoria, East Coast Demerara, causing extensive damage to that vehicle and two other vehicles.
Guyana Daily News was informed that the truck was heading west while attempting to negotiate the turn at the Gas Station road when it came into contact with a minibus.
In an attempt to prevent a direct impact with the minibus, the truck swerved and partly damaged a parked car while running into the administration building of the State Owned Guyoil Gas Station located at the junction.
The incident has brought the traffic to a stand still, but that was soon fix as traffic ranks appeared on the scene and began carrying out their investigations and controlling the traffic.
No one was reportedly seriously injured as a result of the impact.
